here is an algebraic equation: 2x+5=13
the first step your going to do is to isolate the variable canceling he constant which would look like this
2x+5-5=13-5
because we've added -5
to the left we need o add -5 to the right balance
Once you have balanced both sides you will divide both sides by 2 which
look like this
2x=8
2 2
Then you cancel the twos your left of with x then you divide
8 and 2 then you get x=4
now you verify by using the original equation
2x+5=13
Then substitute the value of x which is 4
SO
now
2(4)+5=13
8+5=13
13=13
now, I know that my answer is right because
