Rowel's Fraction Scribepost

In today's class we answered three questions and had to answer them in two, or more ways

1. Number Line
2. Changing the whole number into an improper fraction
3. In Words (Wilson Way)
4. Adding

Sorry for quality and font size
To do the number line you would take little "hops" like since the question is 6 x 1/2 you would do 6 hops

To change it into an improper fraction you take the whole number and put it over 1, like how its 3 x 2/3 it would be 3/1 x 2/3

To do the in words you would change the multiply sign in to groups of

For adding you take the question 5 x 1/3 and do 5 thirds like 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3

Here's the link to my video- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbyabml6Ifk

Here's also the division we did in class, we did the "In Words" way

Here are my test corrections-

How many groups of 1/3 go into 1/4?

How to write a question for 5/8 divided by 1/4-
